Among general design revisions, I was in charge of implementing their subscription service, The Academy. Working with Stripe API, I learned a lot about their recurring billing, subscription periods, and memorizing fake credit card numbers. The biggest challenge was making everything modular from the beginning, which was a saving grace when different subscription periods were added later on.

What started as a personal score-keeping system eventually morphed into a full-fledged iOS app that keeps record of who is best (or worst) at games. Once more data was being entered into the database, with some of the more complex stats, we eventually needed something to speed up queries. Turning to SQL views for the first time, it was a lot of trial and error, but they significantly eased database load times. I did dabble with ReactJS for the front-end, but I mainly worked on building the JSON API with all of the SQL views, and all the nerdy stats no one cares about.

I'm not sure how much I can say about this one. But I will say that I built a very modular, very custom CMS for Nike admins to send out newsletters, share files, and write posts, in multiple languages.

One of the first projects I worked on with Scribble Tone. It was fun coming back to it every year with a revised design, along with adding any new features, like The Journal. With so many "industry" people looking at this site, I took a lot of pride working on it. And getting free passes wasn't too bad either.

OneRepublic - Oh My My

I was brought in towards the end of this project with the deadline (album release date) fast approaching. Different pages throughout the site were meant to go live on certain dates, yet much of the site was hard coded. I made it a point to make things more dynamic, using the database, so that no one would have to be revising or launching code at midnight on a Friday. Ain't nobody got time for that.
Fun Fact: I saw OneRepublic play in 2005, they were called "Republic" at the time.

This site was built using Craft CMS, my first time. While there was a learning curve to how everything needed to be setup, I enjoyed the functionality and eventual ease of the system. I now use Craft to build client sites that don't need a completely custom CMS. In the process, there were quite a few design revisions, coupled with arduous browser testing.
